Human Options

The Community Service Committee typically meets on the second Tuesday of each month, in MSTB 107. Contact Cindy Fern, Chair, for more information.

	Mother's Day Gift Baskets Donation Deadline: May 5, 2008 We are still accepting donations for our Mother's Day gift basket project. We will be giving the bags to Human Options, a non-profit group serving battered women. Donations such as cosmetics, perfume, lotions, shampoo, personal items, toiletries are greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to the UCI campus community for the generous donations to the Community Service Committee's Easter Basket project.

With your help, we will be able to provide dozens of baskets brimming with stuffed toys, novelties, candy, plastic eggs, and other goodies.

	The Verano Holiday Project is now in its seventeenth year. This grass-roots effort, coordinated by the Academic & Professional Women's Community Service Committee, assists families during the holiday season.
The Community Service Committee collects all of the family information, including the children's wish lists, and then matches the family needs with a department's resources. We also assign a member of the Community Service Committee to coordinate with questions and to provide assistance.
	Won't you share the Holiday spirit this year? When you attend A&PW's annual Holiday Tea, remember this: your $5.00 donation at the door benefits the Verano Holiday Project.
