¤	Membership meetings
¤	President to call Emergency SC meeting within 48 hours of receiving a request from 2 or more SC members
¤	Notice to membership at least 15 days prior to membership meetings

Annually

¤	Parliamentarian reviews the bylaws & recommends changes to the membership
¤	Parliamentarian reviews the Procedures Manual and recommends changes to the SC
¤	Membership Chair conducts a membership drive
¤	Steering Committee update their job descriptions and forward them to the Parliamentarian

BYLAWS CALENDAR

July 1	One year term of office commences for officers
July 1 - July 15	Initial Steering Committee (SC) meeting: dues set Parliamentarian and Standing Committee Chairs (Membership, Publicity, and Facilities) appointed by Steering Committee [The Bylaws redundantly call for the Program Chair to be appointed at the same time, BUT the President-Elect IS the Program Chair.] SC sets SC meeting calendar for the year
July	Membership Chair notifies members of annual dues Program Chair proposes General Meeting calendar
July 1 - June 30	Membership and Fiscal Year
July 1 - August 14	Audit committee selected by the SC
August 1	Dues due & payable (to be paid before Nov.1)
August 15 - September 15	Annual audit performed
August 15	Annual audit begins
September 15	Annual audit concluded
November 1	Members who have not paid dues are removed from the membership roster
January SC Meeting	SC appoints the Nominations and Elections Committee
January - March	Nominations are solicited from the membership
January - March	SC sets date for May/June annual meeting, after checking with UCI master calendar
February	Secretary notifies the membership of the nomination process
March 30	Nominations & Elections Committee completes and solicits Candidate's Statements for pre-election distribution
March - April	Membership receives at least 15 days notice of annual meeting
April SC Meeting	Nominations & Elections Committee Chair presents slate to the SC [Note: all candidates presented have agreed to be candidates. This is a courtesy presentation, only. The SC does NOT "approve the slate."]
April - May	Candidate statements and absentee ballots distributed
April - June	Memberships for 12-15 months sold at 12 months dues rate
May or June	Annual Meeting and Election of Officers Standing Committees (Membership, Publicity, Program) present annual reports general membership approval of any bylaws revisions may include installation of officers

Note: This manual is reviewed annually by the Parliamentarian. Additions and revisions are included when approved by a majority of the Steering Committee.
